About

Having graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in 1993, Dr Ng Gim Leong went on to serve in several General Hospitals around Malaysia. In 2002, he attained a Masters in Ophthalmology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and pursued advanced surgical training in LASIK and Cataract surgery in Queensland, Australia, in 2007.

A member of the Malaysian Medical Association and a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), Dr. Ng’s specialisation lies in the field of Cataract and Cornea Refractive Surgery using the latest and most advanced technologies.

Dr Ng is not only well known in the academic circles or as a renowned consultant ophthalmic surgeon, but also as person who gives selflessly of his expertise to the local community via free eye screenings and helping train future eye surgeons. In between 2003 and 2006, Dr Ng lectured in the Penang Medical College while supervising the Masters programme for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Universiti Malaya. He also co-authored numerous medical papers on eye diseases.
