About

Dr Loo graduated from Queensland University Medical School, Australia. She was a specialist registrar at the Oxford Eye Hospital and was a retinal fellow at the Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre. She had worked in Hong Kong as a retinal specialist in charge of all Kowloon East Hospitals.

Upon returning to Malaysia, she became the first Chinese female retinal surgeon with full retinal fellowship to offer her expertise to our country. Her special interests include management of vitreo-retinal diseases. Assoc Prof. Dr. Loo is also the principal investigator for various research projects. She has published papers on retinal detachment and macular hole surgeries, ocular trauma and cataract surgery. She is members of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and European Vitreo-retinal Society (EVRS), American Society for Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
